Our Mission
Church Formation Network exists to envision, equip, empower and encourage the local church to embody the character of Christ.
Our Director
Ken Van Vliet has served as the lead pastor of Monte Vista Chapel for nearly 25 years. In that time, Ken has facilitated a shift from an attractional / church growth culture to one that embodies spiritual formation.
His passion is to facilitate God's movement in church leaders and communities who long to be the pleasing aroma of Christ in their particular context.
Ken also serves as a Lead Mentor in the Doctor of Ministry in Leadership and Spiritual Formation program at Portland Seminary.
Our Team
The Church Formation Network partners with church leaders, spiritual directors, counselors, academics and other experts who are passionate about spiritual formation and the local church.
